WPINJ provides local geographical and toll free phone numbers that enable cloud communications providers to expand the reach of their services internationally. These services are delivered through a unique network that interconnects the local public switched telephone network (PSTN) in more than 50 countries with a private global IP backbone.
Incoming voice calls to WPINJ phone numbers are collected from local fixed or mobile telephone networks around the world and are locally converted to VoIP (SIP) by a WPINJ VoIP/media gateway. Calls are then routed via redundant IP links to the nearest WPINJ POP. From there, they are transported to the customer's data center, anywhere in the world. This service is available on geographical or mobile phone numbers (WPIDID) and local toll-free numbers (WPI800).
WPINJ inbound SIP trunks can be managed online with web-based provisioning and management tools. WPINJ has millions of pretested telephone numbers in stock, so all provisioning requests and configuration changes are executed in real time. Customers can interconnect with WPINJ's backbone via the public Internet.
